Hutheesing Jain Temple, built in 1848 A.D. is one of the famous Jain temples in Gujarat – located at Bardolpura, Madhupura, that 3.6 km from Ahmedabad Station. The famous temple complex is explored by a good number of devotees from across the world, who follows Jain Religion.

The beautiful Jain Temple is the symbol of architectural wonders – created out of white marble that has been sacred to Jainism. Built in 1848 A.D. by spending a good amount of money by a famous merchant – Sheth Hutheesing – the famous temple is dedicated to 15th Jain Tirthankar Shri Dharmantha. The work in this temple is attributed to Premchand Salat. It possesses a variety without confusion and an appropriateness of every part to the purpose for which it was intended.

The beautiful temple is outside the Delhi Gate – spreading over a sprawling courtyard. Not to mention a Mandapa – by a large ridged dome – supported by 12 ornate pillars. The main shrine on the east end reaches up to 3 stunningly carved spires and encircled by 52 small shrines – dedicated to different Thirtankars. Different porches with amazing decorated columns and figural brackets on 3 outer sides add extra beauty to the space.

The famous temple and shrine have witnessed construction of 78 ft Mahavir Swami Stambha or tower – fashioned after the renowned tower at Chittor in Rajasthan. It edges outer courtyard by the front entrance. The amazing view of this famous temple will surely keep you spell bound and persuade you to plan a trip again.

The famous temple is open from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM Everyday.
